One of the redeeming factors of my new job is that I get to work on the types of projects that I would only dream of seeing at my previous employer. One such project is for
Strata, a huge residential skyscraper in Elephant & Castle, London.
Last week we had a night time mock-up on site, and whilst there we were invited to go to the very top of the building. Now I am fairly shit at heights, but the views of the capital from 140 odd Metres high is something you just cannot pass up. What was more special is that the view we had will never be available to any of the residents, as the building's turbines were to be sat in this exact spot.
Breathtaking. Even if the cage lift made me weak at the knees..
