A couple of days ago, a fellow LJ user told me that her class teacher had included some of my work (notably the colourblast series) in a slideshow to show her students examples of good design. Apparently it was on "how you don't have to use giant fonts, how minimalism is much more tasteful and you can use other things to draw attention".
Wowsers... some people may crave watches and faves on deviant art or hundreds of comments on image journal entries but that is quite a compliment if you ask me. I am humbly grateful and quite taken aback. I enjoy what I do, but I never consider myself to be particularly incredible in the realms of graphic design, so such a comment really does bowl me over.
